When Belmont Couples Reach Out for Help

Most couples wait too long to call. They think fighting will stop after the holidays. Or once the kitchen gets fixed. Belmont has long winters and short days. Couples get stuck inside together a lot. Small cracks turn into big gaps fast. I see this every January. It happens right after the holidays. The house feels too small. The fights feel too big. Commuting stress makes it worse too. Route 2 and the Fitchburg Line eat up time. That time used to belong to the relationship. Couples therapy gives you space to slow down. You can hear each other again, without blame.[1]

1-on-1
Sessions are personal, not a script. We talk about your real relationship.
Flexible
In-person or online, great when a storm shuts down Trapelo Road.
Honest
No big words, no judging. Just plain talk about what's going on.
Common Reasons

Constant Arguments

The same fight keeps coming back in a new outfit. I help you find what's really under it.

Growing Apart

You live together but feel like roommates. You share a home, a schedule, maybe kids, but not much else. The closeness feels gone, even though you're both there. I help you find each other again, one step at a time.

Trust Repair

Something broke trust, and neither of you knows what to do next. I take it slow and honest.

Renovation Stress

Belmont's older homes bring surprise repairs and bills. Money fights over house projects happen a lot here.

Commuter Tension

Long days on Route 2 or the Fitchburg Line leave little energy for each other at home.

Life Transitions

A new baby, empty nest, or big job change can shake things up. I help you adjust together.

Why Me

Why Belmont Couples Choose My Relationship Counseling

Take The Step

Ready to Talk It Through?

One honest talk can change things for the better. Small talks, done early, often stop bigger problems. Waiting too long makes old habits harder to break. Reach out and tell me what's going on.

3

Ongoing Work

I meet often and build on what I learn each time. Progress comes in small, steady steps, not all at once.

Realist. I’d recommend Tim if you’re genuinely ready to end your own BS and prepared to feel what’s uncomfortable. He’s a good coach who remains professional and friendly even through friction. He genuinely knows his stuff from decades of experience, takes pride in what he does, and is a proficient listener and learner.

The work helped me dissolve layers and get closer to what I actually feel and what I somatically mean through bodily sensations of truth. By the end, you’ll likely have a greater appreciation for your own agency, volition and the control you do have within your life.

Tim is genuinely a relationship coach with spiritual breadth and depth, rather than merely a “manifestation” coach. Ultimately, the work gets you closer to the answer that’s true by getting you closer to yourself.

My experience with Tim was he was able to stay compassionately present with me during deep dark and bright light moments. This lead to a real shift in the stuck energy I was experiencing. He helps get to the heart of things if you are willing to do your part - highly recommend him as a coach.

Working withTim helped me reclaim parts of myself I had no, or very little relationship with. It moved me towards a more honest, accepting and much kinder relationship with myself. For that I am grateful.

Tim Grimes is an amazing coach. Not just in terms of Manifestation, Law of Attraction/Assumption, but in general. He is serious and dedicated to his work and he is constantly learning and growing. Above all, he is someone who has tried and, yes, has been through many failures in his spiritual/ manifestation practice as he demonstrates with candor and humor on his YouTube channel. When you work with him, you are working with a vast and deep breadth of knowledge, and decades of practical experience. In spite of that, when you are in session with him, it feels like talking with an old friend.

Tim gave some amazing advice to myself and my mother regarding some of the difficulties we’ve been having in our lives. By far some of the most valuable we have ever received. A huge thanks to Tim for all his help

Tim is genuinely loving and compassionate. He helps people better understand how to connect with their own emotions and feelings. I’ve been following his content for a while, and I’ve also had the pleasure of speaking with him over a video call. If you need support, don’t hesitate to reach out to him.

I’ve been reading Tim’s books since 2016, starting with The Joy of Not Thinking. That book was a revelation. I hadn’t realized how much my constant thinking was exhausting me—physically.

His techniques are simple, practical, and genuinely effective. I still use them today. I highly recommend his writing.

I just really love how easily Tim connects with his audience and especially with me. I have been in touch with him and his channel for about a year now, and it has been life changing for me (no exaggeration). If people truly listen to his advice with an open mind, im sure it can change their lives too.

Questions

Relationship Counseling Questions

Here are the questions Belmont couples ask most before their first session. Many want to know how long sessions last. Others wonder if it's normal to feel nervous at first. It is, and most couples relax fast.

  • How much does relationship counseling cost?

Most sessions cost between $120 and $200. It depends on length and type. Many Belmont clients use Blue Cross Blue Shield or Harvard Pilgrim. We'll go over costs before you book.

  • How long does a session last?

A normal session is about 50 minutes. Some couples like longer sessions at first. I can change the length as I go.

  • Can I work on this on my own?

Some small issues can get fixed on your own. But when fights repeat and don't get solved, outside help works better. A session or two can show you what's really going on.

  • How often should I come in?

Weekly sessions work best when things feel tense. Once things calm down, many couples switch to every other week. We'll find a pace that fits your life.

  • How soon can I get an appointment?

I try to see you fast, often within a week. If it feels urgent, tell me when you call. Winter storms may move sessions online instead of canceling.

  • What are signs I might need counseling?

Repeat fights, feeling distant, or avoiding each other are common signs. So is one partner repeating the same complaint. If talking alone isn't working, it's time to call.

  • Do you offer sessions online?

Yes, online sessions work well for busy schedules. They're great during a Massachusetts storm when driving Trapelo Road isn't safe. Many Belmont couples mix in-person and online sessions each week.
