Why Choose Tim

Why Belmont Couples Choose Tim Grimes

I'm a small, one-person practice, not a big clinic. You get real attention, not new faces each time. That's something I hear clients value most.

A Different Way That Works

Instead of telling you to try harder, I teach you to let go. Clients tell me this is the first thing that really worked for them.

Replies Within a Day

Life doesn't wait for office hours. I answer most messages within a day, often sooner.

Sessions In Person or Online

Storms hit Route 2 and Trapelo Road every winter. So I keep video sessions ready for snow days and busy weeks.

What My Belmont Clients Say

Realist. I’d recommend Tim if you’re genuinely ready to end your own BS and prepared to feel what’s uncomfortable. He’s a good coach who remains professional and friendly even through friction. He genuinely knows his stuff from decades of experience, takes pride in what he does, and is a proficient listener and learner.

The work helped me dissolve layers and get closer to what I actually feel and what I somatically mean through bodily sensations of truth. By the end, you’ll likely have a greater appreciation for your own agency, volition and the control you do have within your life.

Tim is genuinely a relationship coach with spiritual breadth and depth, rather than merely a “manifestation” coach. Ultimately, the work gets you closer to the answer that’s true by getting you closer to yourself.

My experience with Tim was he was able to stay compassionately present with me during deep dark and bright light moments. This lead to a real shift in the stuck energy I was experiencing. He helps get to the heart of things if you are willing to do your part - highly recommend him as a coach.

Working withTim helped me reclaim parts of myself I had no, or very little relationship with. It moved me towards a more honest, accepting and much kinder relationship with myself. For that I am grateful.

Tim Grimes is an amazing coach. Not just in terms of Manifestation, Law of Attraction/Assumption, but in general. He is serious and dedicated to his work and he is constantly learning and growing. Above all, he is someone who has tried and, yes, has been through many failures in his spiritual/ manifestation practice as he demonstrates with candor and humor on his YouTube channel. When you work with him, you are working with a vast and deep breadth of knowledge, and decades of practical experience. In spite of that, when you are in session with him, it feels like talking with an old friend.

Tim gave some amazing advice to myself and my mother regarding some of the difficulties we’ve been having in our lives. By far some of the most valuable we have ever received. A huge thanks to Tim for all his help

Tim is genuinely loving and compassionate. He helps people better understand how to connect with their own emotions and feelings. I’ve been following his content for a while, and I’ve also had the pleasure of speaking with him over a video call. If you need support, don’t hesitate to reach out to him.

I’ve been reading Tim’s books since 2016, starting with The Joy of Not Thinking. That book was a revelation. I hadn’t realized how much my constant thinking was exhausting me—physically.

His techniques are simple, practical, and genuinely effective. I still use them today. I highly recommend his writing.

I just really love how easily Tim connects with his audience and especially with me. I have been in touch with him and his channel for about a year now, and it has been life changing for me (no exaggeration). If people truly listen to his advice with an open mind, im sure it can change their lives too.

Local Experience

A Belmont practice built on simple, honest change

Tim Grimes works with people in Belmont, a town of about 27,000. It sits near Cambridge, Watertown, and Arlington. Many clients come from McLean Hospital referrals. Others are busy families using the Fitchburg Line and Route 2. Many older Belmont homes have finished basements used as home offices. I've seen these spots add real stress to a marriage. My way stays simple on purpose. You don't need a hard plan. You need a way to relax and let change happen.

Questions

Common Questions from Belmont Residents

Here are the questions I hear most from people thinking about counseling.

  • How much does marriage counseling cost in Belmont?

Cost depends on the type of session and how often you come. We'll explain pricing before your first visit. Many Belmont clients use Blue Cross Blue Shield or Harvard Pilgrim. I can talk about what fits your budget.

  • How long until I see a change?

Some people feel a shift after one session. Others need a few weeks to let go of old habits. It depends on how ready you are to relax. In my experience, most folks notice small changes early on. We'll check in often so you know how it's going.

  • Is Tim Grimes a licensed counselor?

Yes, my practice follows Massachusetts rules for counselors. I take that seriously, even while keeping things relaxed. You can ask about credentials any time. I'm happy to share my background before you book.

  • What happens in the first session?

I start by just talking. No forms, no pressure, no script. You tell me what's going on. Then I find where the tension really lives. I build a simple plan together.

  • Can I book a session for urgent needs?

Yes, I keep room open for people who need to talk soon. Just call instead of sending a message. I reply fast to urgent needs, even after hours when I can.

  • How is this different from other Belmont therapists?

Most therapists push you to work harder on your problems. I teach the opposite. In my experience, letting go helps couples more than another round of homework.

  • Do you help with parenting stress too?

Yes, family counseling is one of my main services. I help with parenting fights, blended families, and co-parenting struggles. Belmont's school year often brings extra stress, and I work through that too.
