Why Now

When Anxiety Starts Running Your Life

Lots of folks near Belmont Center come to me. A quiet year turns loud in their heads. Maybe it's the drive down Route 2. Or stress from a job near Harvard or MIT. Or just a long Belmont winter closing in. Anxiety tends to build slowly. Then it shows up as bad sleep or racing thoughts. You might feel tense for no reason. Waiting rarely makes it smaller. I've worked with hundreds of folks like this. People who come in early feel better faster. Those who wait feel stuck longer. Last month, a man came in after months of bad sleep. He thought he'd handle it alone. Two sessions in, he finally slept through the night. I use proven methods like cognitive behavior therapy[1]. I keep things relaxed and simple too. You don't have to fight your mind to feel better. Sometimes the answer is easier than you think.

1:1
Every session is just you and Tim. No group setting, no rush.
Flexible
In-person at Trapelo Road, or online when storms or schedules get tricky.

Common Signs

Racing Thoughts at Night

You lie down and your mind won't stop. This is one of the first things clients tell me.

Work or Commute Stress

The Route 2 or Fitchburg Line grind adds up. Anxiety often shows up as dread before the day starts.

Physical Tension

Tight shoulders, stomach knots, and shallow breathing happen a lot. Your body holds anxiety even when you can't name it.

Avoiding Situations

Skipping events or putting off calls happens a lot. The worry feels bigger than the task.

Panic Moments

Sudden waves of fear hit out of nowhere. They leave you shaky or out of breath.

Constant Overthinking

Replaying talks and planning for the worst keeps happening. You never quite land in the present moment.

Why Me

Why Belmont Trusts This Anxiety Counseling

Anxiety doesn't wait. It rarely fixes itself either. I've watched Belmont folks wait months to call. Then they wish they'd started sooner. One woman waited almost a year to call. She told me she wished she came in sooner. A calm, steady way helps loosen anxiety's grip. Fighting it harder doesn't work as well. Most people don't know this: it gets easier once you stop ignoring it.

What You Can Expect

✓ A relaxed first session, no pressure to explain everything at once.
✓ Plain talk, no fancy words or fake positivity.
✓ Sessions in person near Trapelo Road, or online.
✓ A plan that fits your life, not a one-size script.
Next Step

Quiet the Noise Together

If anxiety has been running the show, it's time to take back control. Reach out and we'll talk about what's going on. No pressure at all.

Simple Process

How My Anxiety Counseling Works

Getting started isn't hard. I made it that way on purpose.

1

You Reach Out

Call or send a message. We'll set up a time that fits your schedule. No forms to fill out first.

2

We Talk It Through

The first session is about understanding what's going on. I'm not here to label you. I listen more than I talk at first.

3

We Build a Rhythm

Future sessions build on what works for you. Some weeks it's talking. Some weeks it's just learning to let go a little.

Fair Pricing

Anxiety Counseling Cost in Belmont

Pricing depends on how often you come in. It also depends on if you use insurance. Many Belmont clients have Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA. Others have Harvard Pilgrim through local jobs. Both can lower your cost. We'll walk through your options before anything starts. No surprise charges, no push to buy a package. Some people need just a few sessions. Others want ongoing support. Both are fine with me.

✓ Clear pricing before your first session.
✓ No push to buy a long package upfront.
✓ Honest answers about insurance, no sugarcoating.
Typical price range
$100 - $200 per session
In-person versus online sessions can change the price a bit.
Insurance coverage may lower your cost a lot.
How often you come in affects package pricing.
Longer-term work may get you a lower rate.

Realist. I’d recommend Tim if you’re genuinely ready to end your own BS and prepared to feel what’s uncomfortable. He’s a good coach who remains professional and friendly even through friction. He genuinely knows his stuff from decades of experience, takes pride in what he does, and is a proficient listener and learner.

The work helped me dissolve layers and get closer to what I actually feel and what I somatically mean through bodily sensations of truth. By the end, you’ll likely have a greater appreciation for your own agency, volition and the control you do have within your life.

Tim is genuinely a relationship coach with spiritual breadth and depth, rather than merely a “manifestation” coach. Ultimately, the work gets you closer to the answer that’s true by getting you closer to yourself.

My experience with Tim was he was able to stay compassionately present with me during deep dark and bright light moments. This lead to a real shift in the stuck energy I was experiencing. He helps get to the heart of things if you are willing to do your part - highly recommend him as a coach.

Working withTim helped me reclaim parts of myself I had no, or very little relationship with. It moved me towards a more honest, accepting and much kinder relationship with myself. For that I am grateful.

Tim Grimes is an amazing coach. Not just in terms of Manifestation, Law of Attraction/Assumption, but in general. He is serious and dedicated to his work and he is constantly learning and growing. Above all, he is someone who has tried and, yes, has been through many failures in his spiritual/ manifestation practice as he demonstrates with candor and humor on his YouTube channel. When you work with him, you are working with a vast and deep breadth of knowledge, and decades of practical experience. In spite of that, when you are in session with him, it feels like talking with an old friend.

Tim gave some amazing advice to myself and my mother regarding some of the difficulties we’ve been having in our lives. By far some of the most valuable we have ever received. A huge thanks to Tim for all his help

Tim is genuinely loving and compassionate. He helps people better understand how to connect with their own emotions and feelings. I’ve been following his content for a while, and I’ve also had the pleasure of speaking with him over a video call. If you need support, don’t hesitate to reach out to him.

I’ve been reading Tim’s books since 2016, starting with The Joy of Not Thinking. That book was a revelation. I hadn’t realized how much my constant thinking was exhausting me—physically.

His techniques are simple, practical, and genuinely effective. I still use them today. I highly recommend his writing.

I just really love how easily Tim connects with his audience and especially with me. I have been in touch with him and his channel for about a year now, and it has been life changing for me (no exaggeration). If people truly listen to his advice with an open mind, im sure it can change their lives too.

Questions

Anxiety Counseling Questions

Here's what Belmont clients often ask before their first session.

  • How much does anxiety counseling cost?

Most sessions cost $100 to $200. It depends on format and insurance. We'll confirm your rate before you start. Many Belmont clients use Blue Cross Blue Shield or Harvard Pilgrim to help pay.

  • How long does each session last?

Sessions usually last about 50 minutes. Early sessions might run a bit longer. I get to know each other first. We'll always tell you if that changes.

  • Should I try to handle anxiety on my own first?

You can try, but it's often harder alone. Anxiety usually needs an outside view to ease up. There's no shame in asking for help early. I've seen folks wait years to ask. Most wish they hadn't waited so long.

  • How often should I come in?

Weekly sessions work well at the start for most people. Once things feel steadier, I space them out. It's your pace, not a fixed schedule.

  • How soon should I book if anxiety feels big?

Sooner is better. Anxiety left alone tends to grow, not shrink. I keep room open for people who need to talk soon.

  • What are signs I need anxiety counseling?

Bad sleep, racing thoughts, and skipping fun things are common signs. Tight muscles and nonstop worry show up a lot too. If it's hurting your daily life, it's worth talking about.

  • Do you offer online anxiety counseling?

Yes, online sessions work well for busy schedules or bad winter weather. Many Belmont clients switch between in-person and online each week. Either way, the approach stays the same.
